This wild card would have significant impacts, not only on health and wellbeing, but also on the economy, in particular on the pharmaceutical industry and companies developing cancer drugs. If this wild card occurred, it would no longer be about developing and providing a single “blockbuster”, which is used in 90% of cases. but about focusing on certain niches and cancer types.
