Wild Card's description:

The Moore's Law describes a long-term trend in the history of computing hardware, in which the number of transistors that can be placed inexpensively on an integrated circuit has doubled approximately every two years. When the law runs out, it will not be possible to keep up the present rate of ICT performance growth. New physical principles and effects that have been negligible up to now, have to be taken into account to provide sufficient hardware performance for furture applications.
