I am currently a Senior Fellow at the Strategic Innovations Lab (sLab) and Assistant Professor at OCAD University's Strategic Foresight & Innovation graduate program. I am also a Fellow of the College of Design, Engineering & Commerce of Philadelphia University. Prior to that I served as Chief Information Officer for HelpCaster Technologies, MedcomSoft, and Nightingale Informatix. I have over 40 years of professional experience as an engineer, technology executive, and entrepreneur. I founded/co-founded BNK Informatics Canada, International Informedics Corp. and Nightingale Informatix, and have consulted for enterprises, national governments, and international organizations including the World Bank, WHO, UNESCO, and IDRC. I have been member of the Overlap community since 2007.
I have a Masters in computer engineering, a PhD in digital networks from Germany, and have completed the executive program at Schulich School of Business at York University. I serve on the board of the CIO Association of Canada (Toronto Chapter), the TRIEC Council, and the Board of Tides Canada. I am co-founder of the Canadian Dawn Foundation and volunteers for several organizations including the International Development & Relief Foundation (IDRF), the Canadian Center for Diversity (CCD), and the One Million Acts of Innovation initiative. In my spare time I enjoy mentoring men and women seeking to start new enterprises and operating my own boutique consultancy.
