Erik F. Øverland is an executive member of the Board of World Futures Studies Federation, WFSF (2009 – 2013). Until recently he was the full time managing director of his own foresight consultancy, SUBITO Research&Futures. Today he is also a policy advisor to the Minister of Education and Research in Norway, and a guest professor at the University in Stavanger on Foresight Management issues. From May 2011 he will act as a guest professor at Institut Futur at the Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. Dr. Øverland has published several books and scientific articles about futures studies, and is one of the most experienced foresight practitioners in Norway. Øverland was the Project Manager of Norway2030 by the Norwegian Government (1998-2001) and has conducted futures studies for agencies and business enterprises both in Norway and abroad. Among his list of clients you may find Innovation Norway, Research Council of Norway, EU-Commission and several SMBs, both in Scandinavia and else in Europe.
