Claudio Chauke Nehme is an expert on Strategic Intelligence and Knowledge Management. He has a doctorate degree in Computer Science and System Engineering from Federal University of Rio de Janeiro; a master degree in Computer Science and System Engineering from Military Institute of Engineering; and a undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Fluminense Federal University. He also has a degree in Ontologic Coach from The Newfield Group (USA) and Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM)(Mexico).

His background is based on more than 20 years of experience conducting research projects and enabling development and innovation in the areas of Decision Support Systems, Pattern Recognition, Signal Processing, and Information Technology. In the last 10 years, he has been involved with professional and academic projects in Knowledge Management, Organizational and Competitive Intelligence, Technological Foresight, and Strategic Planning, having worked for the Brazilian Navy Research Institute (IPqM), the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (EMBRAPA), Catholic University of Brasília (UCB), and the Center for Strategic Management and Studies (CGEE).

Professor Claudio Chauke is currently working in the Knowledge Management and IT Graduate Program of UCB, where he was the Director of Development and Innovation until 2008. In the District Federal context – Brasília – Dr. Chauke has been a stakeholder, as UCB representative, for the Science, Technology and Innovation system for 10 years, mainly on IT Technology Park and the Science and Technology Trust Council for Brasília’s Goverment.

In 2007, he joined CGEE as a Leader in Foresight Methodology to guide the development of a National Strategic Program aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Brazilian industries. In 2008, Dr. Chauke became Adviser to the CGEE’s Executive Director, coordinating strategic agendas and developing foresight methodologies.
