Martin Faťun graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University in Prague in field of mathematical informatics, theoretical cybernetics and system theory, with speciality in automatic computers and programming. After finishing of his studies in 1991 he was engaged in computer programming and database applications development. In 1995 he entered IDG Czech publishing house, where he gradually occupied positions of expert editor, deputy editor-in-chief and editorial director of Computerworld weekly and Business World monthly. Since August  2006 he works in the Technology Centre ASCR as a project manager in the group of R&D Strategic Studies. He is interested in ICT innovation, foresight, R&D policy and R&D evaluation issues.
